This section is currently under construction. It will contain sub-sections on the following topics:
- Life in general
- Mobility
- Education / SEN / School health plan.
- Assistive technology
- Physiotherapy / occupational therapy / speech & language therapy / feeding therapy
Information for carers and schools will be included as it is important that people working with and caring for our children understand the physical limitations of myasthenia. For example, as myasthenia prevents repetitive movement - and keeping our children healthy relies on managing fatigue - it is unhelpful, and indeed potentially harmful, to attempt to ‘build muscle strength’ or encourage a myasthenic child to over-exercise.
