18-20 June 2010, Alton Towers
The MGA Children’s Weekend 2010 will start with a meal on arrival at the hotel early evening, Friday 19th June. Saturday will be the conference itself, running all day with food and refreshments provided. Children’s entertainment will also be provided and childcare as appropriate/agreed with parents. A meal will also be provided on Saturday evening. Breakfast is included on both Saturday and Sunday morning.
Sunday will be free to visit Alton Towers courtesy of Merlin’s Magic Wand, the charity arm of Alton Towers’ owner, Merlin Entertainments, who have kindly donated day tickets for our group.
The MGA and families have been fundraising to ensure that all the accommodation, food and entertainment costs of all family members – ie both affected and unaffected siblings - are covered. We are asking families who wish to attend the weekend, however, to fund their own travel and to make a £100 donation per family to the Children’s Branch.
Please note that you MUST be a member of the MGA in order to attend the weekend. Membership is free (a small donation is always appreciated of course). Membership forms are available for download on the MGA website or from Jane Knape at the MGA.
